Accessories for interior doors

Door hardware is not limited to handles and locks. In addition to these two important items, hinges are also installed on the door (no door can do without them!), seals and, sometimes, glass. These elements of interior doors are subject to the same requirements as for door handles and locks: they must be reliable, comfortable and beautiful.

Loops. This is a very important part of your door, the function of which is to attach the door leaf to the box.

There are two types of loops:

- visible loops,

- invisible loops.
The hinges become invisible when two hinges are installed on the top and bottom of the canvas, which allows you to make a reversible door (independent opening door). Invisible loops appeared in production relatively recently. They look more aesthetically pleasing than the visible ones, but they are more complex to produce, so they may cost a little more.
When buying door hinges, both visible and invisible, be sure to make sure that their color is combined with the color of the door lock!

Gaskets. A good and properly installed seal guarantees an increase in the sound insulation of the room, promotes thermal insulation and significantly reduces the degree of dust ingress into the room. In addition, a high-quality seal prevents a dull impact of the canvas on the box, which makes closing the door more silent. Therefore, if you buy a door with the expectation that you will slam it in a fit of anger, be sure to consider this factor! (Joke)
Seals are very different in materials of manufacture and colors and are installed in the factory around the perimeter of the entire box.

Glass. This accessory, in fact, is more of a decorative function in interior doors than a practical one. However, if you install an interior door in a dark room, we recommend that you install the door with glass, because the glass in the door contributes to better illumination of rooms and corridors.
Glass comes in a variety of shapes and colors. They can be transparent and matte, white and colored, simple and tempered, smooth and with a perimeter facet, with colored inserts and a sandblasted pattern.
When choosing a door with glass, you should consider another factor that is not directly related to the quality of the doors or their design - the human factor. The windows may break. That is why, if you have children, elderly relatives or just someone from the household likes to emotionally slam the door, you should opt for tempered or triplex glass. The first, when broken, crumble into many small granules that do not have a cutting edge, and therefore are not dangerous. Triplex glasses have a transparent film between the two layers of glass, so they are more impact-resistant.

We wish you a good choice and a pleasant purchase!
