Interior doors are an integral part of almost any room that has more than one room. Initially, interior doors had to perform one function – to delimit the space. Modern doors are made in a wide range of colors, which allows you to install them as an addition to the interior design.

How to choose an interior door

When choosing an interior door, you should give preference to those models that combine several qualities:

1. Functionality,

2. Practicality,

3. Durability.

You should also select the door according to your own requirements:

1. Size,

2. Texture and color,

3. Opening option,

4. Type of coating,

5. Complete set,

6. Stylistic design.

Finishing coatings of interior doors

Modern manufacturers create a huge number of interior door designs. The most popular doors are decorated with wood. Moreover, if the door is made of wood, the demand for it increases several times. But in order to choose a really high-quality door, you should understand the designations and terminology that manufacturers use.

There are several types of finishing coatings for interior doors:

1. Veneer,

2. Array,

3. PVC,

4. Laminate flooring,

5. MDF,

6. Ecoshpon,

7. CLP.

It is from the coating that such qualities of the door as durability, strength, external indicators, etc. depend. All the options presented have both advantages and disadvantages, so when choosing it is worth weighing all the pros and cons.

Veneered doors

The veneer is a thin slice of the top layer of the tree trunk. The tree pattern is saved on this slice. The veneer is applied to the door surface by hot pressing. Such doors have an extended service life and are almost indistinguishable from doors made of natural wood. One of the disadvantages of veneering is the difficulty in selecting a pattern. It is difficult to find two identical trees, as well as to pick up similar patterns. Among the advantages, the following qualities can be noted::

1. Aesthetic appearance,

2. Reasonable prices,

3. Reliable operation,

4. Durability due to the use of modern equipment.

Solid wood doors

This option has a high price and belongs to the "Luxury" class. The door made of solid wood is able to bring a piece of luxury to the interior and emphasize its individuality. The array is a valuable wood species with a dense and hard texture. The high price of such a door is due to the complexity of production and finishing. Of the advantages of the solid wood door, it is fashionable to highlight the following:

1. Exquisite appearance,

2. Maintainability,

3. Eco-friendly material.

Among the disadvantages, we can note the sensitivity to temperature changes.

PVC doors

PVC is a dense film that can have any pattern and color. This finishing option is one of the most economical. There are several other advantages that should be mentioned:

1. Wide variety of patterns and colors,

2. Aesthetic appearance,

3. Resistance to external adverse effects,

4. Durability.

Among the disadvantages of the PVC door, it can be noted the presence of chloride in the film, the effect of which on the human body is still questionable.

Laminated doors

This method is similar to the previous one, but here a paper film is used, with a pattern applied to it. The paper is specially impregnated with resins before being applied to the door. After application, it is covered with a transparent varnish. The advantages of this finishing method include:

1. Low price,

2. Wide range of colors and pattern selection,

3. High performance thanks to the use of modern equipment,

4. The possibility of quick replacement of the door thanks to the standard numbering of shades in all batches,

5. Easy to care for.

Of the disadvantages of a laminated door, you can select one, but quite significant. The fact is that when installing the door, maximum accuracy is required. If it is not observed, the paper coating of interior doors will quickly break, and the door will acquire an unkempt and cheap look.

Doors made of MDF

MDF is a board consisting of wood waste. Such a stove has a number of advantages:

1. Low weight,

2. Resistance to temperature changes,

3. Resistance to high humidity,

4. Fire safety,

5. A wide range of colors and models.

There are no significant disadvantages of MDF.

Eco wood veneer door

Eco-veneer practically does not differ from natural veneer, because it is made according to its model. This material is artificial, but it has a number of advantages:

1. High resistance to humidity and temperature changes,

2. High resistance to mechanical stress,

3. Resistance to household chemicals,

4. UV resistance,

5. Durability,

6. No harmful substances in the composition.

There are no significant disadvantages of the eco-zone.

CLP doors

CLP or CIPLEX is a relatively new finishing material. This material is an advanced laminated paper, which is covered with additional protective means. The advantages of CIPLEX include the following:

1. High resistance to high humidity,

2. UV resistance,

3. Wide selection of designs,

4. Easy to care for,

5. Durability.

In comparison with a laminated door, there is no need to adjust the dimensions of the door to the dimensions of the box with maximum accuracy. The paper will not be damaged by mechanical action. No disadvantages were found for doors with CLP coating.

The modern construction and furniture market does not stand still, so you should expect the appearance of new materials that will have only advantages and meet all the requirements of the buyer.
