Production technologies of veneered interior doors

Among the variety of interior doors presented on the modern market, veneered doors are distinguished by the most favorable combination of price/quality. Made only from environmentally friendly materials, as well as solid wood doors, veneered doors favorably differ from the latter in price.

There are interior doors made of natural and artificial veneer. Natural veneer is usually more expensive than artificial veneer. Interior doors made of natural veneer have a frame covered with natural wood veneer with a thickness of 1-2 mm.

Manufacturers of interior veneered doors use only environmentally friendly materials.

Doors made of artificial veneer are covered with wood shavings, and from the inside they have a frame made of plastic or cardboard. In veneering, solid rocks are used: oak, walnut, beech, wenge, which are not inferior in properties and appearance to interior doors made of solid wood.

Types of veneer and veneer technology.

In German, der Spon means "sliver". Veneer-a thin layer of natural wood obtained by planing or peeling wood.

Planed veneer. Today it is the main material for veneering doors. More valuable, produced from wood species with a beautiful texture (such as oak, beech, walnut, mahogany, Karelian birch, ash, elm, acacia, yew) has a thickness of 0.2 to 5 mm.

When creating a one-piece beautiful veneer shirt for the production of veneered door leaf, a selection of veneer sheets is extremely important.

To create a peeled veneer, the thickness of which is from 0.1 to 10 mm, such types of wood as alder, birch, pine, aspen, beech, oak and other types of wood are used. By cutting a thin layer from a rotating cylinder-block, a peeled veneer is obtained. The quality of the peeled veneer is slightly inferior to the sawn one.

Sawn veneer with a thickness of 1 to 10 mm is made of coniferous wood. Such as fir, cedar, spruce. The production technology allows you to preserve the structure of the wood as much as possible, which results in a high quality veneer. This allows you to use it for the manufacture of bent-glued furniture parts, decorative interior decoration.
