Three sisters: single, double, and one-and-a-half doors.

Usually, when customers come to the store, they already know why they are going and what they want to buy. But for a person who has decided to make repairs for the first time, sometimes it is not easy to understand a huge number of different types of doors, accessories and materials. In order to help customers, informational articles are written on the most common issues. This article describes three types of doors.

Interior doors differ not only in the material from which they are made, but also in the number of canvases. Most often, single - floor and double-floor doors are installed in the premises, a little less often-one-and-a-half doors.

Types of doors

Single-panel doors, which are also called single-leaf doors. Their design follows from the name: single-leaf doors consist of one single door leaf-sash. Doors of this type are installed as entrance and interior doors. Most often, they are installed in a standard, small-sized opening. As a rule, the width of a single-leaf door is 85-95 cm, the height is 2 meters (if the doors are made according to the Western model, then 2 meters, 10 cm). However, today there is no need to adhere to strict standards, so if your doorway is wider, it is not difficult to install a door that is suitable for it.

Double doors (or double doors) consist of two door panels, which are made the same size. Doors consisting of two flaps are placed in a wide doorway. This is the main advantage of double-leaf doors - their high throughput. In addition, the doors are distinguished by a chic view, they can be beautifully opened in front of guests. High, double-leaf doors can make your home a real palace.

The standard size of double-leaf doors is one and a half meters wide (both doors together, and each separately-75 cm) and about two meters high.

Very often, to add elegance, double-leaf doors are made with glass or colored inserts.

One-and-a-half doors they are one-and-a-half doors and have no other name.

The younger sister of double-and single-floor doors consists of one single sheet and one half sheet. In fact, one-and-a-half doors can be called a kind of double-leaf doors. They are also installed in a wide doorway, however, due to the fact that the second half is narrower than the other, they have a slightly lower capacity.

In beauty and grandeur, one-and-a-half doors are not inferior to double-leaf doors and can make a house if not a royal palace, as in the case of double-leaf doors, then certainly a count's mansion.
